About The Event
Join us at Haku Maui for a day dedicated to the beauty of Lei and Pua! In this make-and-take Lei Wili workshop, you'll learn to create our Signature Style Lei Wili using the traditional wrapping technique with fresh tropical flowers, foliage, and other authentic materials. In just 2.5 hours or less, you'll craft your own Lei Wili, perfect for wearing as a Lei Poʻo on your head or as a Lei Aʻi around your neck. Along the way, we'll explore the cultural significance, symbolism, and history of lei in Hawaiian culture. You'll gain valuable skills in gathering and using natural materials, learning a style of lei-making that requires patience and dexterity as you weave together your beautiful creation.
